Why the admit numbers moved this week

Last Tuesday the Google-attributed admit count for July stood at 3, and we said the pipeline needed time to mature. That is exactly what happened: the count is now 11, and 6 of them landed in the last 7 days alone. The most important detail is where they came from. Four of the recent admits are Mental Health patients whose ad clicks are dated July 15 through July 27, meaning every one of them was found by the campaign after we switched its bidding to qualified leads on July 14. Those admits moved from click to admission in 0 to 7 days.

All four came in on non-brand searches: people who did not know Ambrosia yet, searched for mental health treatment, clicked the ad, and called. This is the campaign finding new patients, not picking up people already looking for you.

We acted on it this morning: Mental Health's daily budget is restored to $1,500 (from $1,100) and General Rehab moves to $3,000 (it was not spending its full cap). Per today's call, July finishes at the agreed $85K, with budgets pulled back through Friday and ramping again August 1.

The verification stage is a 3x signal, and it now feeds Google

We analyzed 90 days of your Salesforce pipeline, comparing the two stages: Missing Info, where every new lead enters and which is what Google's bidding currently learns from, against VOB on Queue, where your team verifies benefits.

SignalLeadsAdmitsAdmit rate
Hits Missing Info (every new Google-attributed lead; today's bidding signal)1522919%
Reaches VOB on Queue752128%
Stays in Missing Info, never reaches VOB on Queue77810%

A lead that reaches your verification stage is nearly three times as likely to admit as one that does not. As of this morning, every Google-attributed lead that reaches VOB on Queue reports back to Google Ads as its own conversion signal observation mode. It changes nothing about bidding yet. We are letting it accumulate volume first, deliberately: this stage produced 22 Google-attributed signals in June, which was too thin to bid on, but 40 in the last 30 days on the ramped budgets. That was the plan all along: start broad to feed the algorithm enough volume to learn, then graduate to the stronger signal once it can support bidding. We are about a week away from that graduation decision.

Quality over volume: the July trend

WindowSpend/dayVOB on Queue entries/dayCost per VOB on Queue lead
July 1-14 (before the bidding change)$2,4641.1$2,156
July 15-27$3,3841.7$1,999
Last 7 days$3,3102.0$1,655
VOB ON QUEUE ENTRIES / DAY Jul 1-14 Jul 15-27 Last 7d 1.1 1.7 2.0 COST / VOB ON QUEUE LEAD Jul 1-14 Jul 15-27 Last 7d $2,156 $1,999 $1,655

One thing to see clearly in this table: raw lead volume held flat while spend increased. That is the bidding change doing its job. We told Google to stop chasing lead count and buy verification-quality intent, and the mix shifted exactly that way: flat leads, nearly double the verified-stage rate, and a 23% lower cost per verified lead. Volume for its own sake was never the goal.
